Many things are going on, and the coffee I've been drinking is leading me to have a one-track mind. Besides, any words I write here could have gone to my novel instead, so I'll try to keep it brief.
I'm doing NaNoWriMo. Or, rather, I'm attempting it. I'm a lot less prepared this time around, and I have a lot more other commitments to distract from it (although last time I probably only averaged 2 or 3 hours a day writing, but at least those 2 or 3 hours constituted most of the energy I needed to invest in anything). I've written a bit over 700 words so far, and I think I'm starting to hit the point where if I don't have at least a little bit of an outline (currently I have only the vaguest of concepts) I'm going to start stumbling, not so much because I can't think of anything to write as because if I start to lose coherence, I'll also start to lose motivation.
Anyway, I'm not asking for creative inspiration (although if I see any laying near you, I will shamelessly grab it), but I would like some support. For the next month, anyone who says “Why aren't you writing?” will be construed as supportive, not nagging. Also, I'd appreciate understanding that my time will be pretty tapped out.
Hmm, I really don't look forward to explaining NaNoWriMo six or eight more times, but I probably have to tell the people who don't read my LiveJournal about it if I want to have a good chance of finishing…
