En route

I have not posted in a long time. I have things to write about, but it seems like it will take too long to write them, and so I wait hoping I'll feel like writing less about each item. I do, but more items come up, and the cycle continues.

Anyway, I'm en route from Pittsburgh to Dallas. We're at a hotel in Missouri a little over half-way there, despite not managing to leave until yesterday morning. My dad has mostly driven the U-Haul and I've mostly driven my car, though I did take the U-Haul for the last 150 miles yesterday.

The drive is going well, though I'm sleeping kind of poorly. I've temporarily given up on my abstinence from caffeine out of perceived necessity, so between that and having to pay constant attention, I think I'm back to running on adrenaline again. It feels pretty pleasant, but the pathways are sort of burned out. After the move, I definitely need to quit caffeine again and let myself detox a while longer.

It looks like when I get in, things will be in order. I have an apartment and an energy company with zero pollution (Texas has deregulated power), though I probably won't take care of the other utilities until I get in. And Ratha should be up to help me move in.

I'm really looking forward to having most of stuff unpacked. I went to all the trouble of owning this stuff. Now I need to use it. :-)
